Christie Love is a beautiful, charming Black woman who also happens to be a skilled undercover operative with the Los Angeles Police Department. Her smarts and skills often come in handy for posing as a prostitute, jewel thief, etc. to bring down the bad guys. Her original boss was Lt. Reardon, but he was replaced by Capt. Ryan. Caruso, Belmont, Valencia, and Gallagher are cops with whom she works.

When Sheriff Burl Taggart takes a frightened young Mexican - American couple into custody as suspects, the local reactionaries cry out for prompt "justice." The Big RematchChristie and her partner are assigned security detail on a celebrity battle of the sexes tennis match. The match promoter owes a local loan shark a debt equal to the amount of the prize money, $250K and arranges for the shark to steal the prize money. The loan shark ends up dead and the prize money is missing so Christie must find out who the culprit is.
