Sam the fireman is one of several firefighters stationed in the Welsh village of Pontypandy. Despite its small population, the village regularly suffers from fires and other dangers. The local firefighters have to respond to these dangers and keep the village safe.

Sam and the team find the trapped children and Sarah and James win the photography competition too - the winning entry is a photo of Fireman Sam with a face full of snow!

The plan involves a go-kart, multiple Halloween masks and Derek as his accomplice. Norman goes a bit too fast on his go-kart and goes straight into the sea. Sam comes to the rescue. Norman has lost all his candy, although Lily does give him one candy to make up for it.

    Charlie's Big CatchCharlie and Sam are finally fixing Bronwyn's leaking tap. However before the job is finished Sam is called to the Fire Station. Charlie avoids doing chores by taking the kids out to sea where he's determined to land the biggest catch! He damages his boat in the process and they are in danger of sinking! Sam comes to the rescue and the brothers set out to sea again and bring in the catch together.

The two rivals lead the Pontypandy Pioneers on a wilderness excursion. They challenge each other to race up a high tree and then get stuck! It's up to the kids to be resourceful and get help using a pair of sunglasses, sunlight and Morse code.

Later at the firework display, James tries to warn Gareth that the firework wheel is nailed on too tightly and sets Bessie's shed on fire. Sam and the team race to the rescue and put out the fire.
