Matt Smith brought manic energy and fairy tale wonder. Capaldi added gravitas and grit. And Jodie Whittaker? She didn’t have it easy. First female Doctor, heavy expectations and a fandom split down the middle. But she brought warmth, curiosity and a sense of wonder that echoed the show’s core. Her run had uneven scripts, sure, but her Doctor never lacked heart. Each Doctor reshaped the mythos while keeping the heart intact.
