Following his staircase fall while pursuing a drug addict, Trevor is bedridden and in a vegetative state and Kate has the misfortune to walk in while Dr Elliott is telling a group of students the prognosis is that there will be no improvement. A mature bus driver is plagued by his thrash metal guitarist neighbour, so he bites his finger off during a Danes V Saxons re-enactment. A dangerous driver causes Casualty Car Crash#45 involving a woman undergoing dialysis for renal failure. A small boy has an inflamed penis and will only discuss it with Richard.
