He is greeted by three faithful childhood friends - the eccentric major and the son of a professor of astrophysics Kosmos Kholmogorov (Kos), the cunning and enterprising Viktor Pchyolkin (Pchela) and the calm athlete Valeriy Filatov (Fil).
