Avalanches, snowstorms and impassable slopes are the natural enemies of winter sports tourists in the mountains. The employees at the Federal Institute for Snow and Avalanche Research on the Weißfluhjoch and at the Parsenn rescue service must therefore permanently ensure that skiers do not get buried.
