2016 35mDrama
This final daytime drama depicts the true love between a mother and her daughter. It's autumn 2006, in Tokyo. Ishihara Satoko (Sato Eriko) was a happy woman. She gave birth to a daughter, Haruko, with her kind husband, Yusuke (Takuma Takayuki), and lived a peaceful, hopeful life with her in-laws, Soichi (Emoto Akira) and Hiroe (Oka Mayumi). But one day, Satoko loses both her husband and daughter at the same time. Deeply sad, Satoko's hope for life is almost gone, but it's the baby's loud cries, desperately trying to survive, that rekindles it... "From today, let me call you Haruko..." Ten years later, in Tokoname City, Aichi Prefecture... Satoko works at a pottery workshop and lives modestly with her 10-year-old daughter, Haruko (Honohana), whom she has been raising as her own, and her childhood friend, Junko (Miyaji Mao), who supported her through their difficult childhoods. She is unaware that her husband, Yusuke, whom she thought was dead, has amnesia and is living as a different person, along with their daughter, Haruko... Meanwhile, in Nagoya, at the Edagawa family home of the Edagawa school of tea ceremony, Maki (Endo Kumiko), the next head of the family, her husband Gotaro, and their daughter Sumire (Mayu) are living a rich and warm life. They are unaware that Gotaro has already passed away and been replaced by the head of the family, Daizo (Ryota Ryu), with the amnesiac Yusuke. His only secretary, Teru (Ishino Yoko), seems to be aware of this and continues to support Daizo. The bond between parent and child, the love between husband and wife, and intense ego. The guilt that comes from love, the exhilaration of living, and the selfless warmth. This story condenses everything you'd expect from a daytime drama.
