This movie is so silly! They used the most ridiculous filming locations & styling, making it feel very 80s. It may be the most ridiculous mob film in existence.
Poor girl, she's young and doesn't know what makes a fulfilling life. I believe in her! The important documents scene is so silly & her poor fish get murdered by a dear friend. Tragic. She just needs to grow up a bit. She's very kind, sweet & more faithful than most girls these days.
I can't believe this movie was made. Some interesting practical effects, a lot of hollucinating. Not a fan.
Naked Lunch
The Revolt of Mamie Stover
Cute movie. We see the Pearl Harbor bombing and experience Hawaii during that period. Jane Russell is a major hottie, of course, the film is in color & it's an engaging adventure. Not sure what more one could want!
A wild ride with a Hollywood ending, classic 1940s filmmaking. Kept me engaged from start to finish.
Born to Be Bad
Valley Girl
Def a chic flic. Valley girls are nothing to get excited about, & this movie wasn't about punk. Spineless soundtrack. Samantha's tits are the best part of the movie @~1h10m.
With Hayward and a couple of hotties with da bodies as leads you can't go wrong. Hayward isn't as much of a scoundrel as he normally is in movies. This time, someone else is responsible for the worst of it.
I wasn't expecting things to turn tragic. I've had to accept a ruined life at a much younger age. It took me a few years but I was able to accept it & then slowly started turning things around. I didn't like how it ended so pathetically, I guess it was pretty pathetic all the way through. Too bad he didn't get hit by a car.
The Swimmer
The Man Who Knew Too Much
I can see why this movie could've been charming to older generations but it's one of my least favorite Hitchcocks. I find Jimmy Stewart's cadence grading, he overkills the dad role. I was able to sleep through the middle half and not lose track of the plot.
Chambers has a sweet set of funbags, the film has an awesome score & just the right amount of fear. Simple yet effective describe this low budget success. It's cool that Rose ends up showing so much empathy, even in her broken condition. I was really hoping they'd find a cure by the end of the film.
