    Well… my experience with the first season of Wolf King (the Netflix series based on Wereworld): My opinion on Wolf King (Season 1) "Look, to be honest: I went in with moderate expectations because adapting Wereworld isn't easy, but after finishing the 8 episodes, I was left with a bittersweet feeling, though leaning more towards positive. What blew my mind (The 'hype') The first thing that caught my eye was the animation. It has that style popularized by Arcane or Spider-Verse, like a mix of 3D with textures that look hand-painted. Visually, it's a gem; the lighting and the way the transformations look—especially Drew's—are some of the best Netflix has released lately. Drew Ferran's story quickly grabbed me. That transition from being a normal farmer to discovering he's the last Wolf King and that the Lions (the Lion Lords) are tyrants keeps you hooked. Plus, Gretchen ended up being My favorite character; she starts out as the typical spoiled princess, but her evolution throughout the season felt incredibly real. What left me wanting more (The 'buts') If anything frustrated me, it was the pacing. I felt like everything was going at breakneck speed. Sometimes it seems like they don't let the characters breathe or let us get attached to them before throwing us into the next fight. If you've read the books, you'll notice that they cut a lot of things to fit everything into half an hour per episode. Also, although it's supposed to be for a younger audience (like Avatar or The Dragon Prince), I would have liked it to be a bit darker, because the world of the Werelords lends itself to much more brutality. In short It's a solid series. If you like stories of royal houses, betrayals, and people who transform into epic beasts, you'll like it. It's not perfect, and the ending leaves you with a cliffhanger that makes me need the second season right now. to see how the war in Lyssia continues. My rating: 7.5/10. It's entertaining and visually spectacular, though it lacks a bit of pacing to be a masterpiece.
