The story is set in Wales. The song heard over the opening and closing credits is composer Ronnie Hazelhurst's instrumental arrangement of the Welsh folk song, "Bugeilio'r Gwenith Gwyn" (Watching the White Wheat), a song which, like the series itself, is the story of a love affair which is not acceptable to the woman's family.
