Tsubasa and Hitagi discover that Koyomi has gone missing and has urged them in a text message not to look for him. However, in his absence, new dangerous apparitions begin to appear and target Tsubasa, and Nadeko who are left to try and deal with them on their own. Meanwhile, Koyomi Shinobu, and Mayoi are dealing with serious problems of their own.

    Tsubasa Tiger (1)The first day of the second trimester, Tsubasa Hanekawa chats with the ghost girl Mayoi Hachikuji en route to school. Right afterwards, she witnesses a giant “tiger” apparition. Later that day, her house completely burns down from a fire.

    Shinobu Time (2)With the help of Yotsugi Ononoki, Koyomi and Mayoi were able to escape from the “darkness.” Within the ruins of the cram school that they escaped to, Shinobu is consulted about the “darkness.” She starts to speak of what happened 400 years ago.

    Shinobu Time (3)Koyomi finishes hearing the story about 400 years ago from Shinobu. Yotsugi joins them at the spot, and Mayoi wakes up from her slumber. The four of them were talking within the cram school ruins, but the “darkness” appears a second time at that location.

    Shinobu Time (4)Koyomi and company climbed down the mountain they were hiding in after escaping from the “darkness." Upon visiting a village between the mountains, they meet Izuko Gaen and receive an explanation concerning the “darkness.”

    Hitagi End (1)On January 1st, Hitagi Senjyogahara makes a phone call to Deishu Kaiki, her supposed archnemesis. It was a tough decision made on her part, in order to save herself and Koyomi Araragi from their “death sentence.”

    Hitagi End (2)Kaiki, deciding to accept Hitagi's work request, visits the town where Koyomi and his friends live. He starts to do research on Nadeko Sengoku, the junior high school girl turned god of North Shirahebi Shrine, who is the current target of deceit.

    Hitagi End (3)Returning from his visit at the Polar Snake Shrine, Kaiki asks Hitagi to meet him again, ending up in a Mister Donut restaurant. Kaiki claims that it will be easy for him to deceive Nadeko as at her current condition, she can't doubt anyone - she has turned even more childish than she was in her human state, unable to detect any ill will. He reveals his plan to spare Koyomi and the others by lying to her that they died in an accident, thus he needs Hitagi to convince Koyomi to cease all connections with Nadeko. Hitagi, relieved and crying, thanks him for his services. On the following day, Kaiki is approached by Yotsugi who comes with an ultimatum from Gaen urging him to pull off his scheme to deceive Nadeko, claiming that the stake is too high and the entire city may be destroyed should he fail. Despite accepting ¥3,000,000 as compensation from Gaen, Kaiki moves on with his plan and pays another visit to Nadeko, claiming that he has a special wish she can fulfill and he will keep visiting her in a 100 visit cycle. Nadeko cheerfully tells him that she destroyed the cat's cradle yarn and used a white snake instead. Terrified, he determines she is not only an idiot, but also insane. After the meetup, Kaiki tricks Nadeko's parents to have them leave their house and he takes the opportunity to investigate her room, getting startled upon finding out what she kept hidden inside her closet.

    Hitagi End (4)Kaiki heads to North Shirahebi Shrine daily in order to deceive Nadeko the snake god but finds himself being followed on his way home. Furthermore, he gets a mysterious threat telling him to “pull out of this case.”

    Hitagi End (5)Tsubasa Hanekawa, supposedly overseas in search of Meme Oshino, suddenly approached Kaiki to talk to him. After exchanging information with Tsubasa, Kaiki gets the finishing touches ready for his preparations to deceive Nadeko the snake god.

    Hitagi End (6)Kaiki proceeds to deceive Nadeko Sengoku. However, Nadeko with surprising ease sees through Kaiki's lies and attacks with numerous white snakes. What will be coming last out of the tongue of a con artist near death–a lie, or the truth?
