The problem wasn't the acting, but the undesirable self-diagnostic dialogue *as if written of somebody with no entertainment experience*, diluting of characters, and overly sharp crispness of the HD quality that didn't add to the charm. Another comment on here wrote of the show having been 'modernised' except what i saw wasn't modernising but 'babying' of the audience it once had. Also, empathy ISN'T about putting yourself in somebody else's shoes. Totally cringe that was in the show.. turned off at that point. Entertainment isn't an opportunity to force unwanted (and inaccurate) educating that isn't truly beneficial to the audience.
- Goosebumper12 de abril de 2026Outside of the colour tone, and a bit too much sentimentality in the last episode, it was great. Everyone feels as they did since we last saw them. Jane Kaczmarek does the best job of all the returning actors. A scene where she finds out Malcom is not coming to her anniversary and the very next scene was my favourite, largely thanks to her being perfect as Lois. As for the new cast, they do good too. It's just the short episode count of this revival means we don't get enough time with them, outside of Leah. Sepaking of her, it's clear the creators want to do a sequel series following Malcolm's daughter and based on this revival I would be down with that.
- PFlix11 de abril de 2026If your looking for that same 90s feeling you had when you were a kid watching the original series on tv, This brings back that feeling. I really enjoyed it. As a dad now I can deeply appreciate how Hal gets his ending! Edit: im not offended by the thumbs down I enjoyed the series.
