Rewatching or remembering Grimm now, what stands out is how well it balanced its moving parts. It had the dependable shape of a police procedural, the pleasures of monster-of-the-week storytelling, and a mythology that slowly widened from local Portland weirdness into Royal Families, Resistance politics, Black Claw, Hadrian’s Wall, ancient relics, and full-on endgame fantasy. The main reason it holds together is the ensemble. David Giuntoli gives Nick Burkhardt a steady moral centre, but the show becomes richer once it lets everyone around him matter. Monroe and Rosalee are the emotional heart, Hank and Wu ground the impossible in police-work pragmatism, Renard keeps the power games slippery, and Adalind’s long arc from villain to complication gives the series some of its messiest but most interesting drama. Juliette’s transformation into Eve remains divisive, but it is hard to accuse the show of leaving its characters untouched. The final season is shorter and feels rushed in places, but the ending understands what the show became: a story about legacy, chosen family, and learning that monsters are not always the ones with visible claws. A very enjoyable supernatural procedural — atmospheric, funny, uneven, sincere, and still oddly comforting.

Grimm is a very interesting concept even my grandad liked it and he doesn't normally like modern shows. It's a dark supernatural detective show, The Grimm is the only one that can see the real faces of non-human people and there is somewhat real history to the mythological creatures when you read about the folk lore.

Started strong then it started going downhill when they introduced Chavez in season 4, and continued downhill fast through season 5 and 6.
