The fire at the Metropolis nightclub will be the starting point of the investigation conducted by Judge Rosa Ballester (Blanca Portillo). His main suspect, Joaquin de la Torre (Jose Coronado), one of the countries important politicians, will be involved in a web of mysteries, suspicions and secrets, which will lead to the collapse of his reputation in front of his political party. Along with his son Alejandro de la Torre (Alberto Amarilla) and his lawyer Ricardo Díaz (Aitor Mazo), they will try to get out of the case, but Judge Ballester and his team, formed by Jorge Vega (Daniel Grao), Julio Almagro (Joseba Apaolaza) and Isabel Holgado (Isabel Serrano), will not waste a minute in demonstrating the culpability of the politician in the Metropolis case, discovering that the event does not revolve around a "simple" fire, but to hide in it the murder of a girl, Ana Sánchez (Andrea Guasch). They will have to face Jorge's girlfriend, Laura (Silvia Abascal) and her sister, the journalist Sonia Nieto (Anna Allen), not knowing that the whole affair will spill into the family circle of the judge.
