Christian Magdu
Ator, Produção
15 de outubro de 1977 (48 anos)
Versatile Swedish actor of films, stage and television, Christian Magdu was raised in Sweden after his family migrated from Romania. He began training as an actor in Skövde with director Leif Olson, later attending the Wendelsberg theatre school and the highly competitive Skara Skolscen. In 2002, he began working on his first feature films, Camp Slaughter (2004) and Year One (2006).
Since relocating to Stockholm in 2004, Magdu has established himself as a household name across the Nordics, particularly within the crime and action genres. He appeared in major Swedish productions like the Johan Falk (2015) film series, I Guds namn (2007), and Oskyldigt dömd (2008)—famously preparing for the latter by spending time in a high-security prison. His commitment to dramatic truth has led to acclaimed roles in the Guldbagge-nominated Prinsessa (2009) and Aldrig en absolution (2005), a Crystal Bear prize-winner at the Berlin International Film Festival.
Expanding internationally, Magdu is a SAG-AFTRA member and has worked in the US, including an appearance in HBO’s hit series True Blood (2008). In recent years, he has demonstrated his remarkable range in two Scandinavian TV hits: as the brooding antagonist Yussuf in the Kristallen-winning Gåsmamman (2015), and the warm, heartbreaking Andrei in the Norwegian smash-hit Exit (2019).
Entering a new phase of his career, Magdu has transitioned into creative entrepreneurship. As co-owner of the production companies CHRISMA Film and Rock Hammer Films AB, he actively shapes stories. This evolution is highlighted by the action-thriller Vi dör i natt (2025), directed by Richard Holm, where Magdu takes on the dual responsibility of playing the male lead and serving as the film's sole producer.
