André-Paul Antoine, born on August 17, 1892, in Paris, was a French screenwriter, dialogue writer, and director whose career spanned from the 1920s to the 1970s. The son of renowned director André Antoine, a founding figure of modern theater in France, he followed in his father's footsteps at an early age, actively contributing to the development of talking pictures. He made his film debut in the late 1920s and directed Mon cœur incognito (1931) and La Folle aventure (1931), two films produced in the context of multilingual versions, which were common in the early days of sound cinema.
