As someone with major depressive disorder, I was uneasy in how seen I felt. I see clearly now how Jeanne Dielman, 23, Quai du Commerce, 1080 Bruxelles inspired Gaspar, if I hadn’t already! Never knew where / when the scene would begin / end so it made the abrupt scene changes all the more discombobulating. The exceptional long takes and camerawork / editing certainly help! This house is a maze !!! Kind of reminds me of Sentimental Value. Europe must be going through something (always) Honestly surprised Monica Bellucci didn’t show up as a wink to the audience Added to The Non-English Niche
