Por acaso, Bill encontra-se com ela para finalizar o divórcio quando tudo se conjuga para criar uma tempestade perfeita para tornados. Assim, sem o prever, ele e a sua nova namorada acabam por se integrar no grupo de Jo e embarcar numa alucinante caça ao tornado, cheia de perigos e riscos, através do centro dos Estados Unidos.

With a plot that can be terrifying, electrifying, hilarious, and touching all at once, a hot cast of talent, special effects that live up even to today's standards ( 30 years later ), and a magnificent crew along with flawless direction, this movie had it and still has got it all.... period.

Had been trying to get my kids to watch this for weeks, but none of them seemed interested in the slightest and were very skeptical after the watching the trailer following it up with their usual “What year was it made?” question because they know it never fails to make me feel very old. As I expected, they enjoyed it. It’s a brilliantly paced actioner that really is kind of an overlooked blockbuster from the past.

He walks straight into the OK Corral and caught a bullet in Tombstone. He struts into East St. Louis and catches a few more there during Tresspass. But seriously, Bill... why go into a tornado? You got lucky this time, and absolutely deserved to die. Which is all to say that this movie was just a little too unrealistic and campy (we got cows?) for me to seriously be afraid of the true star of the show: the EF5 tornado that's basically treated as a horror movie villain. But hey, it's still that classic summertime thrill ride that made 16-year-old me ride out with my buddy Justin chasing a local thunderstorm the day we saw it in the theater.
