Even though the plot was predictable the movie was still a fun ride - a cross between father/son drama and teenage action adventure.

Move can't decide if it's a teen drama or action film. Not worth a watch.

My one thought at the end of this movie was "I'll never get back the time I just wasted watching this. Who green lights this crap? This was told like an After School Specisl ftom the 70s. I understand that we often suspend reality ehen watching a movie, but this film requires one to suspend any type of logical thinking. Ridiculous situations combined with asinine character behavior followed by more ridiculous situations makes this incredibly low-brow. Heard there may be a sequel in the works. Not on my screen.

Moves quickly, ...of course hard to believe so just suspend disbelief just a little more.

Lots of guns and drugs and shooting. Shallow story, uninteresting characters

Not a surprise, I like it. I just watched without judgment and enjoyed it. Nowadays, with everyone thinking they are critics, it's become hard to watch something and just take it in. I did with this because of Bautista and liked it.

A nice mix of friendship to adulthood, with action as a focus. Worth a watch.

A Promising Concept That Never Fully Delivers "Trap House" has a gritty atmosphere and premise that could have made for a compelling thriller, but the end result feels undercooked and uneven. It's a movie with ideas, but it never quite finds the clarity or focus needed to turn them into something engaging or memorable. Visually, the film tries to set a tone - dark, tense, and mysterious - and at times it succeeds in creating a mood. The setting feels appropriately claustrophobic and the sound design works to enhance that sense of unease. There are flashes where you can see what the movie wanted to be. Where "Trap House" struggles is in its execution. The script feels fragmented and often confusing, lacking the narrative cohesion to fully connect its scenes or characters in a meaningful way. Characters are introduced without much depth, and motivations often feel unclear or underdeveloped. Rather than building tension, some plot points feel like filler or missed opportunities. Performances are earnest, but even solid acting can't fully compensate for a story that doesn't offer enough direction. Without emotional anchors or a clear throughline, it becomes hard to stay invested. In the end, "Trap House" isn't a bad movie, it's just a forgettable one. It had the potential to be more, but it falls short in pacing, structure, and narrative focus.
