- Varun19 de outubro de 2024This movie is all over the place in the worst way possible. I thought it started really well, I enjoyed the accidental teleportation and how the characters are introduced to each other and deal with their predicament. I was really digging the CGI too, I could feel the scope of the space scenes, the cats were realistic, and a lot of things felt tangible. Aladna was breathtaking to look at, it was like a fantasy coastal city from Europe and the costume design for the inhabitants was really cool. Kamala Khan has an amazing infectious energy and brought lots of fun to many scenes. This is where my praises end. The script is super messy, you can clearly tell there were multiple rewrites and reshoots that’s just badly put together. Monica was so flat and boring, for majority of the movie she’s just moping about Aunt Carol leaving her and she brings zero energy to the trio. Captain Marvel did have more personality compared to the first movie, because here she has to deal with different emotions, but even this didn’t go very far in any direction. Brie Larson is a good actress but there’s not much she can do when Marvel has zero idea what to do with the character or the tone they want to set. There’s also so much past exposition about things we already know, Marvel isn’t interested in building up the characters in the present moment. The villain was another weak caricature and the actress was corny as hell. Also I couldn’t stand Kamala’s mom’s accent in the show or this film, I find it super cringe and she makes every joke unfunny. Why did they decide to turn the Aladna section into a musical??? It makes zero tonal sense and I didn’t laugh or smile once. The Prince seemed interesting but he barely gets like 5 mins of screen time and it looks like Marvel just wanted to market him to the Korean fans. Nick Fury is a comedian in this film, every single line of his is setting up a joke or gag. Also I’m a cat dad, so I enjoyed the Flerken scene because it was visually fun and comedic and works great as an idea to save everyone, however the set up isn’t organic or rational and feels like it’s just another gag pushed into the movie for marketing purposes. I also don’t get why they’re making a big deal about the director, she has no critically acclaimed hits and her Candyman movie was awful. Marvel studios seriously has no idea what they’re doing, their latest movies and shows have been complete disasters with god awful writing. I feel like I’m just watching childish soap dramas at this point. I hope to see Kamala in future projects, she was the only breath of fresh air the entire runtime, but even she couldn’t be a saving grace for this mess of a film.
- Yusef Taufiqhá 6 dias’ve always defended Brie Larson’s portrayal of Captain Marvel, and she is fantastic here yet again. The Marvels is a fun and charming from a character standpoint. The chemistry between Monica, Carol, and Kamala (Ms. Marvel) is some of the best I’ve seen in the MCU—they play off each other perfectly, and Kamala’s family is funnier than ever. That said, the story and the stakes are just "okay." While certain plot points attempt to add emotional weight, they didn't feel entirely earned. My recurring criticism of the MCU remains its villains and the way they are defeated; the resolutions often feel rushed, as if the antagonist couldn't put up more of a fight. While not every MCU villain suffers from this, I find myself wishing for a threat that feels as "real" as those in Infinity War or Endgame, even if executed on a smaller, standalone scale. The villain here didn't instill any real sense of threat, and at times, it was hard to take her seriously. Ultimately, I still had a great time. Even with those narrative issues, the fun far outweighed the negatives for me. The heroes are the clear standouts, and their bond is what truly drives the film. I suspect I’ll be in the minority given the backlash this movie received at launch, but I’m glad I could finally watch it without all the outside noise.
- SendPie21 de março de 2026Woke girl boss garbage that doesn't slay.
- gelux8114 de março de 2026Not the best in the MCU.
- William27 de outubro de 2024Atrocious.
- Spaceman Joe6 de julho de 2025Pretty much the most boring, useless movie ever
- Ilya Nikhamin28 de dezembro de 2025Watchable garbage. Zero soul.
- Nahim Wazir13 de dezembro de 2025Rubbish.
- yves-carmine30 de novembro de 2025Shocking! A movie that received a cascade of poor reviews and reception initially because of "WoKe" turns out to be really fun and well made. This cast works extremely well together and everything feels like it progresses organically and evenly paced. The score is nice and cinematography is well done and the even the dialogue felt real (as it could be at least). The story was really, really fun to watch and it made these characters even more endearing and fleshed out for future appearances. Kudos Nia DaCosta, a solid addition to the MCU!
- Harish Cousal24 de novembro de 2025A decent, fast-paced entertainer - flashy, quick, and easy to watch, but it never reaches that “wow” moment.
- joshuacottle3029 de agosto de 2025The movie is ok, but the problem is that there has been so many good MCU movies to where this seems like it’s junk. I wouldn’t call this movie horrible, but it isn’t great. Ms. Marvel was the standout in the movie and probably my favorite character of the movie, I feel that the singing planet was not needed though and it made it seem very dum.
- wf62530 de junho de 2025Marvel keeps dropping a good movie then a bad movie this is one of the bad movies
- fosternccm26 de agosto de 2025It was enjoyable enough. It got a little messy.
- jacob207712 de agosto de 2025This movie has some of the coolest and creative fight scenes in the whole MCU!
- M08Y17 de julho de 2025The Marvels is complete garbage BUT it does have the good graces to be lighthearted and breezy at a slick 1h45m. Iman Vellani is a joy to watch on screen and you can tell she is genuinely having a great time. Even Brie Larson seems to have loosened up a bit to make her latest Marvel outing a little more enjoyable. This movie contains none of the preachy gender politics and obnoxious girlbossing of the previous movie making it a much more enjoyable experience.
