- Ecto-1A19 de outubro de 2024One of the best werewolf movies of the 1980's, if not in American film history. Wolfbears UNITE!

- Coopers_Run31 de março de 2026Was about 8 when I saw this. It scared the be-jesus out of me. It's campy and cheesy but one of those 80's horror types that induces your Gen-X anxiety.

- Shaydeknight8 de novembro de 2025I had no idea Silver Bullet even existed until recently. Somehow, it slipped past me as a kid in the 80s, probably buried under the avalanche of higher-profile Stephen King adaptations like Carrie, The Shining, Cujo, The Dead Zone, Christine, Pet Sematary, and even Stand By Me. With company like that, it's no wonder Silver Bullet flew under the radar for many viewers. It's a decent little movie, nothing groundbreaking, but solidly entertaining in that unmistakably King way. The story is classic small-town horror: a sleepy community terrorized by a mysterious killer, with a touch of supernatural menace and a dose of heart. It's got all the familiar King ingredients, meaning slightly different kids in extraordinary circumstances, small-town secrets, and a hint of nostalgia mixed with dread. The effects are - well, laughable by modern standards. The werewolf design and transformations feel a step above made-for-TV, but not by much. Still, there's a certain charm in how earnestly it all plays out. It's not trying to be the definitive werewolf film, and maybe that's part of its appeal: it knows what it is and stays in its lane. The atmosphere works, the pacing is fine, and the story holds together better than you might expect. The performances are decent across the board, and yes, even Gary Busey does alright. (Well, let's be fair: he usually sucks, but here he sucks a little less.) Silver Bullet may not rank among the great Stephen King adaptations, but it's a fun, nostalgic slice of 80s horror that deserves more credit than it gets. It's rough around the edges, but if you're a fan of werewolf movies, or King's particular brand of Americana-meets-monster, you'll likely find something to enjoy.
