- Patrick Wai23 de abril de 2026Tom Berenger isn’t exactly Laurence Olivier, so when he starts looking like the class valedictorian of the cast, the movie may already be on life support. One More Shot starts with a decent hook and a nifty one-take, first-person-shooter visual gimmick, then slowly mutates into an endless airport chase-and-shoot carnival where Scott Adkins plays Jason Bourne after a head injury, mowing down what feels like half the terminal by himself. The setup really is a sequel to One Shot, following Adkins’ Jake Harris through an airport siege, and a lot of reviewers praised the real-time/continuous-shot style even while noting pacing and ending issues. My problem is that once the novelty wears off, there’s barely any character development, the plot is paper-thin, the ending feels incomplete and incoherent, and the whole thing becomes less “thriller” and more “watching a first-person shooter campaign with cutscenes somebody forgot to finish.” It’s not awful, just aggressively forgettable, and for an Adkins movie that skimps on the fight-heavy action he’s actually best at, that’s its own kind of letdown.
