- Manuel Frangis10 de junho de 2025I just watched Olympus Has Fallen and I give it 5 out of 5 stars. This movie hits like a freight train from the start and never lets up. I felt like I was thrown right into the chaos, and that’s exactly what I wanted. The opening alone had me holding my breath, and once the attack on the White House began, I was fully locked in. There’s something about a good “one man versus the world” setup that gets my adrenaline going, and Gerard Butler completely sells it as Mike Banning. He’s not flashy or cocky, just gritty, skilled, and totally relentless. What surprised me most was how real and personal it felt. Sure, it’s a high-octane action movie, but there’s weight to the destruction and a sense of loss that makes the stakes feel more intense. Banning isn’t saving the President just because it’s his job. He has a history, he’s haunted by what happened in the past, and this is his shot at redemption. That gives every punch, every bullet, and every hallway fight more meaning. When he talks to the President’s son and tries to protect him, you see there’s more to this guy than just brute strength. It’s heart mixed with heat. Aaron Eckhart as the President brings a quiet strength that makes you root for him. He’s not helpless, but he’s also not some action hero caricature. He feels human, and that makes his moments of courage feel earned. And then there’s Morgan Freeman, who just has that natural authority. Any time he speaks, it makes you believe things might be okay, even when they clearly aren’t. The supporting cast really pulls their weight and keeps the momentum going even when the focus shifts outside the White House. The action sequences are brutal and fast, and the camera work puts you right in the middle of the danger. I could feel the tension with every corner Banning turned, not knowing who might be waiting to shoot him next. It’s not pretty action either — it’s rough, raw, and personal. That’s what I loved. It’s not about showing off cool moves, it’s about survival and grit. There’s also a real sense of patriotism that doesn’t feel forced. The flag still stands, the people still fight, and you get that feeling of unity when the world seems to be falling apart. It’s not cheesy — it’s powerful. It reminds you what’s worth fighting for, even when the cost is high. At the end of the day, Olympus Has Fallen gave me everything I wanted. Action, heart, tension, redemption — all wrapped in a tight, explosive package. It’s the kind of movie that leaves you fist-pumping, maybe even shouting at the screen, and definitely wanting to watch it again. It’s a blast from start to finish and reminded me why I love action thrillers when they’re done right. This one’s going straight into my favorites.
- Mister Arn22 de maio de 2025This movie is "Die Hard" at the White House. It has several very similar events: an assault group trying to come in from the roof, a traitor who helps the bad guys, and a scene where the hero talks to the bad guy on the radio (only now it's a cell phone). If you enjoyed the "Die Hard" movies, then give this film a try. This one takes itself more seriously, so it is not as funny on purpose.
