Quando o pai de Doug, um piloto da Força Aérea, é abatido por caças MiG pertencentes a um estado radical do Médio Oriente, ninguém parece capaz de o resgatar. Doug encontra Chappy, um coronel da Força Aérea que fica intrigado com a ideia de enviar dois caças pilotados por ele e por Doug para resgatar o pai de Doug após bombardear a base dos MiG.

And the fact Doug was flying jets and not in the military..If you take it as just as a rescue mission action flick. and you were like 6 at the time. It was pretty good.
- mushu5911 de novembro de 2024A criminally underrated film. Is it an artistic masterpiece? No, not even close, the dialogue is terrible, cinematography and editing leave something to be desired and the overarching plot is completely ridiculous, to the point it should be classed as a fantasy film. But, it's fun to watch, there are some pretty good stunts in the "snake" race at the beginning of the movie, and even the bad dialogue and plot do not detract, also the soundtrack is top tier. I have probably seen this movie well over 100 times and will continue to watch it every few months. The only issue I have with it is that they kill off the main character in the beginning of the second movie, we should have gotten at least one sequel with Doug Masters as an actual air force pilot. Also there are not enough good movies that have aerial dogfighting as major setpieces, while in this movie practically the entire third act is a series of dogfights, and even better they use Vipers, they refer to them as Falcons but I assume that is because the US airforce wasn't involved
