- Jake Law3 de janeiro de 2026Solid show. I loved how they got the hockey player interactions, and the announcer dialogue pretty true to life. I just wish there was a bit less cussing
- usermilk13 de dezembro de 2025I would give it a 6.7 out of 10
- stuhannaford12 de dezembro de 2025Genuinely unsure what I've just watched, but I liked it. I have no idea what ice hockey is all about, the rules, the fights, nothing... but even so, there is something that draws you in throughout, that means all of that really doesn't mean much. It's an outsider, trying to find his place in the world, until the day that he finds his looked down upon attributes of courage, fight and spirit means something to someone, and something, and he gets his rewards... and his punches. It's bloody, funny, heart warming, inspiring and most of all, a good watch. The expected titanic finale, doesn't disappoint... but when does anything fail when Dessun Dorma plays as the backdrop. A must for sports fans, and a recommendation for anyone else.
- Manuel Frangis1 de dezembro de 2025I just watched Goon and I give it 5 out of 5 stars. This movie hit me in a way I honestly did not expect. I went into it thinking it would just be a loud hockey comedy with a bunch of fights and jokes, but instead I got a story with real heart, real warmth, and a character who is impossible not to root for. From the first few minutes I felt connected to Doug because he is someone who does not feel like he belongs anywhere, yet he still tries to be good to everyone around him. That simple honesty makes the story feel personal. It is the kind of movie that reminds you that sometimes the most important people are the ones who never try to show off. They just show up and care. The cast in this movie is incredible. Seann William Scott gives one of the most surprising performances I have seen from him. He plays Doug with kindness, innocence, and strength, and you feel all of it in every scene. Doug is not complicated, but he is genuine. He is respectful, loyal, and always trying to do what is right. He becomes someone you want to cheer for because he is not pretending to be anything other than himself. Liev Schreiber also brings a strong presence to the film. His character adds weight to the story and makes every interaction feel important. The entire team around Doug feels believable and each actor adds something special. The chemistry between the players is natural and gives the movie a sense of brotherhood that makes the team moments feel alive. The movie is filled with loud and chaotic scenes, but the emotion underneath them is what makes everything work. The hockey moments are exciting and intense, but they never feel empty. They always connect back to Doug’s journey of discovering purpose. He is not doing all this because he wants attention. He is doing it because it is the one thing he knows he can do to help his team. That gives every hit and every moment on the ice a meaning that goes beyond the sport. The movie takes a violent and rough environment and manages to fill it with heart. That contrast makes it stand out in a really powerful way. What I loved the most about Goon is the message behind it. The story shows that you do not have to be perfect to matter. You do not have to be the smartest or the strongest. You just have to care, show up, and give your best. Doug is a character who inspires people without trying. He treats everyone with respect, and he fights for his team because he believes in something bigger than himself. Watching him find confidence and happiness in a world that once made him feel small is inspiring. It makes you think about how meaningful it is to find a place where you belong. By the end of the movie, I felt proud of Doug. I felt happy for him. Goon made me laugh, made me care, and made me feel connected to a character who deserved every good moment he earned. It is funny, emotional, intense, and full of heart. It is a movie that understands loyalty, effort, and kindness. I loved every minute of it, and it easily earned its perfect rating from me.
