Mukta and her husband Ravindra a poetess studied in same college and got married soon after her marriage she wanted to complete her education by her father in law a wealthy Appasaheb Sarnobat tells her to quit education and look after the family to which she willingly accepts. Mukta takes charge of the farming where mostly females work and develops a good bond with them specially Kamla she notices a insane women and finds she is Kakisaheb whose the equal stake holder in the family property and her husband was killed by Bhaiya.Mukta decides to fight for village women and Kakisaheb but Bhaiya decides to kill her and tries to rape Kamla but instead gets killed by Mukta. In present time Ravindra takes charge of farming and makes Appasaheb realize his mistakes and gets Kakisaheb back in the house. While in prison due to her loving nature Mukta develops a good bond with her inmates who start to respect her while the jailer and in house doctor is happy with Mukta for improving the inmates further she also decides to complete her education while serving her term.
