Rather than laying everything out from the start, it drops breadcrumbs, inviting you to piece things together. When the truth finally clicks into place, it feels earned. It’s not flashy by superhero standards, but it's an entertaining film carried by a kid.
- MR_BigTime10 de janeiro de 2026Can we talk for a minute about how cute Lexy Kolker was here? When she wasn't being a spoiled brat, that is... sometimes even then. With that out of the way, while Freaks presents a subject that's anything but new, it does so in a rather powerful way. It even went a bit over the top for my taste, at times, but even then it kept my attention and kept me wondering what was real and what wasn't. It's definitely nominated for a rewatch from me sometime.

Uma menina chamada Chloe cresce numa casa abandonada, sonhando com o mundo lá fora e imaginando como seria se tivesse uma mãe. O seu pai, um homem perturbado, avisa-a que os “maus” os matarão se ela alguma vez sair de casa. Atormentada por intrusos horrendos que se materializam no seu armário e instada a explorar o exterior pelo misterioso Sr. Cone de Gelado, Chloe acaba por conseguir arranjar coragem para fugir, para descobrir que o pai não estava a mentir. Agora tem de decidir se quer esconder-se para sempre ou lutar por aquilo que mais deseja: encontrar a sua mãe.
