This is a exceptionally well made supernatural Korean film that blends folklore, spirituality, and modern horror elements into something deeply unsettling and unique. It brings something totally fresh to the horror genre. The story keeps you hooked the entire time, and the acting is great across the board.

incredible blending of japanese and korean folklore as a way of exploring the lasting effects of japanese imperialism on korean families. the origins of the metaphors are as grotesque and chilling as the spirits in the film, and splicing the structure of the film into chapters allows what would’ve been a seemingly disjointed narrative to feel episodic. it’s not as terrifying as i was expecting, but it trades that for sheer scale and spectacle and i was pleased with that outcome.

A well done Korean supernatural horror film. The plot was great, I was hooked right from the start. Honestly, anytime I see Koreans banging on drums and dancing and stuff to perform some sort of ritual, I’m instantly sold. 🥁

Exhuma really got under my skin. The mix of shamanic rituals, folklore, and raw atmosphere felt fresh and unsettling. It’s the kind of horror that creeps up on you, not just jump scares, but a lingering sense of dread. Easily one of the most memorable horror films I’ve seen in years.

It’s not that scary and story is not that deep. The acting is good

“Exhuma” is the rare horror flick that’ll make you scared of both ghosts and your relatives’ real-estate decisions.

Exhuma is a chilling horror that masterfully builds tension and fear without relying on cheap scares. It blends eerie atmosphere with a gripping story that keeps you guessing. If you love horror that's smart and genuinely creepy, this one is a must-watch.

They took something beautiful, like exhuming a corpse, and made it into a two-hour Japanese-Korean history lesson. "Don't forget to use the horse blood!"

Don't blink or you will miss an important plot point or two. Utterly captivating and terrifying
