- faze3há 1 diaNot what I was expecting. Was just ok. But something was missing. Wish it was better with the amount of big names that was in it
- Doc Wormhá 1 diaWhile competently shot, written, directed and acted, this movie is painfully flat. It has a respectable ensemble cast, but for what? There’s hardly any tension, propulsion or heart. The whole time I found myself thinking, ‘who cares?’ ‘Where’s this going?’. Nowhere man. It went nowhere. It has nothing to say. One of the most paint by numbers crime dramas I’ve ever seen. Bonus points for letting Barry Keoghan do his freaky lil thang tho 😜
- Chris C18 de fevereiro de 2026A stellar cast and nice acting help elevate what could have been a bog standard crime-thriller into a very solid movie. There are action scenes in the movie, but they're pretty small scale. Despite that, I couldn't help see parallels with the all-time-great "Heat", particularly between Hemsworth's and De Niro's characters—which is lofty company to be in. I appreciated that the ending provided closure without tying up all of the loose ends, while at the same time also feeling like it was not a setup for a sequel.
- OdinTheRavenKinghá 4 dias## Synopsis A thief with a particular MO works with an insurance adjuster for his next score when a partner and a detective work to take from him all that he has worked for. ## Review This is not the movie I expected. Not the movie I wanted. It was a movie I needed. I was picturing something much more in the octane verbiage than drama. However, it very much is a drama story. The action that is there is really well done. I think it is one of the better movies in using action to add to the story rather than it just being used for actual entertainment. The beginning scenes add context to the final ones and that isn't something you see so deeply. The cars are very nice and for sure a brand deal. They are named everywhere without hesitation. Looking back, it is funny, but they are used well, and I am not mad at it. The acting is superb. From Chris, Halle, to Mark, you get outstanding performances that are going to be overlooked, but should not be. I think the downfall from this perspective is Barry Keoghan. I am not sure if it is the hair, the roles he typically plays, or just the performances he plays, but he just sucks. For a story, I feel like it is good, even great. With the one very notable exception to Nick Nolte's character. I have no idea who he is in the story, how they came together, and how Chris didn't know about Barry's character. ## [My Rating](epicscreentime com /rating-rules/) I enjoyed this movie. It is a simple story, very well told. The driving is good, the planning is good, and I think the acting is so good. The pacing is what hurts it. It is slow and if you are expecting [[The Fast and the Furious]] or [[Shelter]], you are going to be disappointed. It is a DRAMA, not an action film. There are some story issues for sure, but it still is well told. I am giving this an 8. ## [Parental Rating](epicscreentime com /rating-rules/) There is an extreme amount of language. Hands down, my dad is out so fast. The violence is pretty tame as compared to other R rated movies. There also isn't a sex scene. While there is a ton of language and no family element, I think my mom might enjoy it, as weird as that sounds. I don't know if I can say approved by both, but it is not outside the realm of reality. Rejected by both.
- Amir Animashaun20 de fevereiro de 2026Don’t know where to begin with this tbh. One of the worst endings I’ve seen imo it was so weird. I went in blind thinking Chris Hemsworth was a detective working with Mark Ruffalo and Halle Berry’s characters. I did not know he was a THIEF! The good of this movie is the cinematography it looks gorgeous especially the drone work. The action and chase scenes were tense and I cared for Mark Ruffalo and Halle Berry’s character. The rest of this movie is hot garbage. The acting is horrendous I’m sorry Barry Keoghan was a train wreck his Irish accent was shining through his horrible somewhat American accent. Chris Hemsworth’s American accent was so unconvincing damn this movie is a mess and has problems. This did not need to be 2hrs and 20mins it’s so dragged out especially some of the scenes. Yeah the more I talk about this movie the angrier I get 🤣
- PlexecutionerX29 de março de 2026Great movie; horrible ending. This one could be up there with the likes of Heat or The Town. Long captivating movie with a great cast, but they had to have their safe Hollywood ending. Oh well, it was still a great flick.
- Oʂɯαʅԃσ Rσყҽƚƚ20 de fevereiro de 2026This is an all-star cast. All four are highly talented with great screen presence. It's great to see beast Halle Berry again. And Barry Keoghan plays such a wild and memorable character (more about his performance than depth in the writing)
- ryanleonhá 4 diasBit boring and slow moving. Especially disliked Barry Keoghan's character. Mark Ruffalo was trying his best to be Columbo
- vangh13 de março de 2026"Listen... I love the way they cheer for home. Nobody in LA does that." I feel like this one perfectly shoots the gap between complex and convoluted. You spend just the right amount of time wondering "Who is this and what are they up to?" before there's a well executed reveal. Pretty much everybody nails their performances. Mark Ruffalo is at the point in his career where you just know he's going to absolutely bring it, Barry Keoghan has 100% found his niche, and Monica Barbara has that breezy, seems effortless style here that just always works. It's probably fair to say it starts stronger than it ends, but it wraps up relatively well, not exactly in the way you'd expect, with a well earned conclusion for each of the characters. Apparently it plays as a Heat ripoff for a lot of people, and that movie remains one of the most glaring gaps in my watched list so maybe that benefited me.
- Babalahmhá 5 diasChris Hemsworth and Mark Ruffalo just didn't seem to have much character in this one. Action scenes were okay. Ending tried too hard to tie it all together at the expense of the actual plot itself. Overall a decent movie, nothing more, nothing less.
- Mark9 de abril de 2026Good, thought this would be some slow moving bullshit film ,(I was wrong) looking at the advertised picture for the film. Didn't get me thinking I want to watch this ,but I did.
- Jason Layton7 de abril de 2026One of those shows that are so much better than you realize as your watching it. Ruffalo is truly one of the best actors of his (and my) generation. Halle Berry and Chris Hemsworth are absolutely perfect and the Chef's kiss was Barry Keoghan who is well on his way to a huge career. Watch it twice.
- trrshá 5 diasMediocre not bad not great just somewhere in the middle there’s definitely much better crime movies out there.
- fuse18716 de março de 2026CRIME 101 is exactly the kind of "cat-and-mouse" thriller l've been craving. It doesn't rely on mindless explosions; instead, it treats the audience like adults, focusing on the high-stakes chess match between two professionals who are arguably the best at what they do. The tension is built through silence and precision rather than noise. I found myself strangely torn, shifting my loyalty between the hunter and the hunted as the lines between "good" and "bad" started to blur. Seeing these heavy hitters go head-to-head on screen felt like a throwback to classic 90s crime dramas, where the meticulous planning is just as exciting as the payoff. It's gritty, smart, and doesn't overstay its welcome. If you're into films where the characters are always three steps ahead of the police (and the audience), this is a must-watch.
