Rita is a young Brazilian who begins a journey looking for her older sister Iracema. Upon arrival, she discovers that her sister died and in the search for how the events were, she will discover revealing truths. Rita will not be alone, she will have a valuable ally, José who will accompany her and protect her from all danger. On the other hand, Rita is a follower of the Bumbaísta cult, based on the God of Zaire, Bumba. Thanks to her mother, he knows the most secret rituals of that religion. On her way she meets Nelson, a Bumbaist leader of few words, with an attractive and enigmatic style, with a sinister interior.
