Democracy, starting from the tradition of civil sovereignty in Athens, has become a universal principle of mankind through the establishment of a modern democratic republic, the acquisition of universal suffrage, and the expansion of citizenship. This documentary series consists of five themes: 'Citizen sovereignty', 'Conflict', 'Priority of democracy', 'Corporate democracy' and 'The future of democracy'. Based on the representative research achievements, we intend to reinterpret the value of democracy as 'the only hope that can overcome inequality'. It also explores ways to restore the tradition of democracy through interviews with world-class scholars.
