The Kalachevs save on everything, and their father, school teacher Rostik, keeps track of expenses in a notebook and dreams of a grant. The family is not discouraged, participating in relay races, lotteries and competitions where they can win a useful prize. Everything changes when Rostik gets a winning ticket for a billion rubles. It would seem that now the Kalachevs have nothing to worry about, because they are provided for for life. But with the appearance of big money, big problems appear.
