In fact, I spent most of the runtime doing other things—like browsing the internet or working. It does have a few exciting moments that are both beautiful and shocking, but these are very much the exception rather than the rule. Durante a Lei Seca, a lei não tinha poder e a máfia comandava a cidade. A história se passa em Lawless, uma cidade que depende da venda de bebidas ilegais no mercado negro.
