Great fun, and much better than MI2 and MI3. Bad guy is under developed, but that's pretty minor.

A brilliant action film. Definitely better than the third instalment: a multitude of locations, plenty of original ideas, references to the series’ hallmarks (the harness, the masks) which have been cleverly reworked, understated humour without any clowning about, and finally spectacular stunt scenes – all of this added up to a brilliant bit of entertainment.

Such a change from the original trilogy in a good way. It has modern nuclear threats mixed insane and iconic action sequences to make this a perfect fourquel.

    Great movie.

Looking back on the fourth iteration of Tom Cruise’s Mission: Impossible series, it features the bones of many big-budget, modern action films: a fast-paced, twisting-and-turning plot, a steady dose of humor, and multiple leading stars. This formula is so replicable that many other films copy and paste it to varying degrees of success. What is the difference between Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol and the rest? I would argue it is a solid script, the concise vision of director Brad Bird, and, of course, Tom Cruise.

The series fully reinvents itself here, Practical stunts steal the spotlight. Dubai sequence is pure cinema.

It’s got a lot of great sequences and moments but I think the lighter tone actually toes a goofy line too often. Felt a little too Fast and Furious here and there for potential nuclear doomsday plot however Fallout eventually got that right!

The Franchise Finds Its Spark "Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol" injects new energy into the franchise, leaning into massive set pieces and globe-trotting spectacle. Brad Bird's direction gives the film a slick, animated flair, with creative visuals and some of the most daring stunts in the series-most famously the Burj Khalifa sequence, which is worth the price of admission alone. Tom Cruise once again proves himself as a fearless action star, and the expanded team dynamic adds a lighter tone compared to previous entries. The humor and camaraderie balance out the tension, making this one of the more accessible films in the series. That said, the plot itself is fairly thin and sometimes feels like an excuse to move from one big stunt to the next. The villain, while serviceable, is forgettable compared to the franchise's best antagonists. Still, the pacing and spectacle carry the movie, ensuring it's a consistently fun watch. It has not the deepest story, but packed with breathtaking stunts and entertaining team dynamics, making it one of the franchise's most enjoyable rides.

Just a fun, high-energy ride with some truly insane stunts — that Burj Khalifa scene alone is worth it. The story can get a bit messy and predictable, but the cast works well together and the action never lets up. Overall, it’s a solid, entertaining flick.

After the mehness of John Woo's 2 and the instantly forgotten Abrahms 3 (like all his films it seems), 4 really sticks the landing and might be the best in the whole series. Action sequences are insane and memorable, fights well choreographed, story a properly thin nuclear threat which you can get behind, and the cast is end to end perfect.

My personal second favorite in the franchise, incredible action scenes.

This one lives up to it’s reputation. It features some really creative action set pieces. I love the continually progressing espionage tech with the MVP going to the projection hallway sequence. The entire team has really excellent chemistry together. Cruise, Renner, Patton and Pegg. I loved it. Kids loved it. Even my daughter who sat out part 3, I think is back on board with the franchise. I regret not watching this one sooner. Looking forward to the next entries.
