- Fire Lansky2 de julho de 2026Late era Nick Cage seems dead set on doing as many films as he can before he goes the way of the dodo and while he’s great in all of them, they are not all great films. This movie is one of the good ones. His performance is the best he’s turned in since Adaptation. As for Panos Cosmatos, the guy seems legitimately talented and strange. I eagerly await his third film.
- Varun19 de outubro de 2024My first intro to the director Panos Cosmatos was The Viewing episode from the Cabinet of Curiosities tv series, and even though it had an okay story, the vibe was just immaculate. I feel similarly about this film. The plot and dialogues are trash and the action is stupid but it is so audiovisually entrancing. The lighting, filters, visual trickery, shot composition and even animation is so trippy and pretty. The synth music is mesmerising. Also it was fun to watch Nicholas Cage raging with wild cocaine energy. I’m a sucker for psychedelic and visually insane imagery so I’m gonna keep looking forward to Panos’ future projects, I just hope he actually writes or adapts a good story.
- macaronz6 de junho de 2026Mandy is an arthouse horror film. Slow, weird, mostly shot in red, with very little dialogue. First half is a drag I almost turned it off. But then the revenge plot kicks in, and it becomes brutal, wild. Nic Cage goes full rage mode, there's a chainsaw fight, and the whole thing feels like a drug induced fever dream. Not for everyone, but once the action starts, it's a blast.
- PhysicalMedia4Life3 de junho de 2026There's no other movie out there like "Mandy" it was so different & unique in the best way possible; this is just a visual masterpiece, along with its amazing looking colour schemes. Also the whole aesthetic & setting designs were fantastic. The atmosphere is also very intense and before anything even happens, it does a very good job at making you feel that sense of uneasiness. Mandy is a very unsettling film to say the least. And what also makes this film is the acting everybody plays there part perfectly and how Andrea Risborough isn't a massive household name yet is beyond me tbh; talk about a talented actress its all here on display and of course the man who can 💯 elevate any movie he's in the ridiculously gifted Nicolas Cage; what an awesome performance this man gives and I thought he was so good in this, that it deserved an Oscar-Nomination YES that good. This films mind-blowing cinematography & tone, is another of the many things that "Mandy" has going for it; it's a mindf*****g masterpiece in my mind. It's one of those, one of a kind type movies and I'm so glad this film exists its phenomenal.

Nicholas Cage's most controlled performance and his bathroom breakdown is spectacular. The fever-dream revenge plot blew me away. Under it, there are real biblical Old Testament vengeance narratives at play. This is what happens when love is destroyed and only wrath remains? It is completely unique film.

The visuals and cinematography set the tone as Nicolas Cage brings a performance that fits into a sudden explosion of nonstop gore and action. Even with the extreme violence, Mandy maintains its initial visual brilliance and will have you rooting for the villains to get what’s coming to them. Mandy is a banger!
