- Kevin Ward6 de julho de 2025I had no idea this was a Safdie Bros. production when I started this, but I certainly knew it by the end. What starts as a coming of age dramedy about an aspiring comic book artist, degenerates into an anxiety filled final act akin to Uncut Gems or Good Time. This even features some recurring Safdie Bros characters. I was on board with this for most of the run time. Daniel Zolghadri was a sympathetic protagonist despite some poor decisions and maybe being kind of an ass to his best friend. The final act, however, didn’t work as well, unfortunately. Although the tension is ramped up, a few times we’re just treated to characters yelling the same thing back and forth at each other. That and some bad decisions are doubled down on. When that happens there comes a point where the character loses all my sympathy. Nice directorial debut from Owen Kline. And I did not expect to see Andy Milonakis…….like…..ever. Honestly, that was pretty cool.
- Peter Maher1 de abril de 2026Fun, quirky and filled with odd characters. I enjoyed it quite a bit.
- cultfilmliker22 de maio de 2025Love to see Buddy Duress even if he’s always playing the same role! And the dude from Uncut Gems! Safdie reunion! Young, gay Blake Anderson was fun to watch as well! This is taking the independent spirit to another level smh atrocious living conditions Could have been bleaker! Spotted a Gregg Turkington shout out!
- SirMonkalot7 de fevereiro de 2026I don’t think I love anything in life enough to live in the apartment that kid was living in. This movie is actually so gross, I need a shower. I’ve also never wanted to punch a fictional character as much as I did that douchebag Wallace.
