The handwritten wish list of a little boy that she finds on a traffic light pole seems like a wonderful sign to her: nine-year-old Leo Golombeck asks Santa Claus to send a lonely soul who wants to celebrate the festival with his family and maybe even brings presents. He has already won Pauline's heart when she arrives at the Golombecks with the note in hand. Leo's older sister Lotte and his somewhat sad papa Daniel, who lost his wife after Leo's birth, are immediately likeable to her. Although the adults are still a bit strange, the miracle takes the course Leo wanted: Pauline invites the Golombecks to a big Christmas party with her parents, siblings and spouses with children.
