- quietdeath98há 7 diasIts a cult classic but some scenes can feel repetitive. Adam Sandler has always been the goofy character who gets the cute girl at the end and this time it was no different. Fun spin with a school theme though!
- Jakeys27 de dezembro de 2025Textbook dumb fun 90s Sandler. I wonder if we'd tolerate it today without nostalgia carrying it? Farley is the best part.
- Manuel Frangis8 de fevereiro de 2025I just watched Billy Madison again, and it is an easy 5 out of 5 stars. This is a classic. It is peak Adam Sandler, packed with stupid humor, ridiculous characters, and nonstop laughs. It is one of those movies that you can watch over and over, and it never stops being funny. The premise is completely absurd, and that is what makes it work. Sandler plays Billy Madison, a rich, immature man child who has to go back to school and pass every grade from first to twelfth to prove he is worthy of taking over his family’s business. That setup alone is hilarious, and the movie leans all the way into the stupidity of it. Every scene is filled with over the top moments, and the humor is completely unfiltered. Sandler is at his absolute best here. His goofy voice, random outbursts, and total lack of self awareness make Billy such a ridiculous character, but also weirdly likable. He is a complete idiot, but you still want to see him succeed just because of how much fun he brings to every scene. His interactions with the kids, his bizarre one liners, and his random rage fits are some of the best moments in the movie. The supporting cast is just as great. Bradley Whitford as Eric is the perfect sleazy villain, playing the snobby businessman who is constantly scheming against Billy. Norm Macdonald as Frank brings some of the best dry humor, and Darren McGavin as Billy’s dad adds some much needed straight man energy to balance out the chaos. Bridgette Wilson as Veronica Vaughn plays the love interest, and while her role is mostly to keep Billy in check, she fits in well with the movie’s humor. One of the best things about Billy Madison is how self aware it is. It does not try to be anything deep or meaningful. It is just pure, dumb fun, and it embraces that completely. The movie is packed with random, nonsensical moments that have nothing to do with the plot but are hilarious anyway. The penguin hallucination, the O’Doyle family, the academic decathlon, the bathtub song—it is all so ridiculous, but that is exactly why it works. The humor is classic Sandler. It is a mix of goofy voices, slapstick, and completely absurd jokes that have no reason to be as funny as they are. There are so many quotable lines, and the way Sandler delivers them makes them even funnier. The school scenes are some of the best parts, especially when Billy is trying to fit in with the little kids or dealing with the strict teachers. Every grade he moves up brings a new set of hilarious situations. Even though the movie is mostly nonsense, it does have a little bit of heart. As ridiculous as Billy is, you actually see him grow a little by the end. Not in a serious way, but just enough to make you root for him. The movie never tries to be emotional, but the fact that you actually want Billy to succeed says a lot about how well the comedy is balanced with the character development. The pacing is great. The movie never slows down, and every scene is either setting up a joke or delivering one. The energy stays high from beginning to end, and there is never a dull moment. It is the kind of comedy that does not care about making sense. It just wants to make you laugh, and it does that perfectly. Billy Madison is a comedy classic. It is one of the best Adam Sandler movies and one of the funniest movies of the 90s. It is dumb in the best way possible, and that is what makes it so rewatchable. I have seen this movie so many times, and it never gets old.
- Jamie Talbot25 de novembro de 2025A fairly amusing movie. I feel like Sandler played his part well and that dodgeball scene is something that will always be in the back of my head. Such a funny scene especially when you know the backstory behind it. It’s a fairly simple movie which is easy to follow along to which is always great with a comedy in my opinion.
- Spiciesttaco10 de outubro de 2025Great movie. In my opinion one of the best Adam Sandler movies. Its a lot of fun and the humor still holds up. Forever will be a yearly watch.
