There's not a whole lot to say about this one; it was a good movie, but not a great one. While it delivers plenty of entertaining action, the film is held back by several plot holes and a few over-the-top, unrealistic scenes that make it hard to take seriously at times. That said, the action sequences are well-executed and far more brutal and graphic than I expected, which was a pleasant surprise. The movie doesn't shy away from the violence, making for some intense and memorable moments. Overall, if you're looking for an action-packed movie where a teenage girl brutally takes down four convicts, you'll probably have a great time with this one. Just don't expect a deeply thought-out story or flawless writing.Becky - Obsession
Every once in a while, a movie comes along that everyone calls a masterpiece the kind of film people constantly recommend until it almost becomes annoying. This is definitely one of those “must-watch” movies, and after finally seeing it for myself, I can confidently say it exceeded my expectations. The film is far more disturbing and wicked than I anticipated, delivering genuinely terrifying scares while still maintaining a strong and engaging story. The plot is easy to follow, emotionally gripping, and gives viewers characters they can truly connect with. Every performance is solid, but the lead actress completely steals the show with an unforgettable performance that will make you think twice about looking into dark corners afterward. This movie delivers everything great horror should: tension, atmosphere, memorable scares, and an excellent cast. Overall, it’s an easy 10 out of 10, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a truly effective horror experience.Obsession - Hokum
I thought this film offered a fresh and interesting take on modern horror. Going into it, I had very high expectations, and while it was an enjoyable experience overall, it ultimately fell short of reaching its full potential. One of the movie's strongest aspects is its setting. The stunning landscapes of Ireland, combined with the old-world architecture, create a haunting atmosphere that perfectly complements the horror genre. The cinematography does an excellent job of immersing viewers in the eerie environment. The story itself is engaging, but it lacks the depth and impact needed to make it truly memorable. While the cast delivers a respectable performance, some of the acting feels flat at times, and the film relies too heavily on jump scares rather than building genuine suspense and psychological tension. Overall, this is a solid horror film with plenty to appreciate, but I couldn't help feeling that it had the potential to be much better. Despite its shortcomings, I would still recommend it to horror fans, especially those who enjoy atmospheric settings and supernatural themes.Hokum - Backrooms
Coming from the mind of Kane Parsons, this was an amazing movie; it did all his YouTube stories justice and provided a one-of-a-kind experience. It left me wanting more. The music and set of this movie really blew me out of the water, and I would recommend this to anyone who is into mind-bending horror; this is the movie for you, and my movie of the year.Backrooms
