This is a pretty good anthology with Lovecraft adaptation segments. This movie has a great cast including Bruce Payne, David Warner, and of course Jeffrey Combs.
I enjoyed the music composition in the film, and one of the music pieces sounds a lot like the Dexter theme. I looked up one of the composers, and it's the same composer for both Necronimicon and Dexter.
This movie has great effects for it's time, and I highly recommend checking it out
Necronomicon: Book of Dead
Timecrimes
I'm a fan of movies that has consequences in time loops, and this movie is definitely one of them.
A great sequel in the Terrifier franchise. If you're a fan of the first 2 films, you'll probably will like this movie.
Terrifier 3
Ghost Warrior
This is a fun fish out of water film. I really enjoyed this movie.
Ghost Warrior
Beetlejuice Beetlejuice
I'm usually not a fan of late sequels, and honestly, I think Beetlejuice didn't need one. However, this one is okay. I was entertained. I enjoyed the characters and the story. If you're in a mood for spooky and fun Tim Burton movies, I'll say sure to check out the sequel, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice
This movie is more action- comedy compared to its predecessor, which is horror comedy. However, that's not a bad thing. It won't be the first time a sequel changes its genre (i.e., Terminator/ Terminator 2, Alien/ Aliens, etc). In this sequel, M3GAN is back as a superhero??? No, seriously, she's a protagonist. She's here to put a stop to a bigger threat. Check it out
M3GAN 2.0
Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers
Depending on which version you watch, your experience will differ.
The theatrical cut will give a Halloween movie with slasher kills. The edits can be rushed, especially those throbbing flashing effects. Geez. The score will have a heavy metal composition, and the ending will leave you with a cliffhanger with Dr Loomis' outcome.
If you're watching the Producer's cut... well, I'll be honest, I'm slightly biased a bit with this version. It's just a little bit, though. There are no throbbing flashing effects (Thank goodness). The music will have a re arranged version of the original Halloween score, which is more fitting for this movie. The characters have more time to breath, however it's not perfect due to the script. I do enjoy the story the old babysitter tells about the origins of Halloween. I also appreciate the recap from Halloween 5 in the producer's cut.
This movie isn't perfect, but I'll watch it around the spooky season; specifically, the producers cut. Check it out.
Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers
Screamboat
Don't take this movie seriously. It's a horror movie about Steamboat Willie on a murder spree. It definitely gives me "Jason Takes Manhattan" vibes, but that can be a good thing. If you're in for some slapstick horror, I'll say check it out.
I think this movie has a good story and some good development with the main character. The only problem I have is that the ending is too ambiguous. I don't mind a little imagination to the audience, but the ending felt like a cliffhanger instead.
Pretty interesting movie. I also enjoyed Tommy Wiseau performance. He plays a good character, and It's like him in "The Room," but with a serious tone and better budget film. Speaking of "The Room," there are some nods to that film as well..
Best F(r)iends: Volume 1
Legion
Pretty average apocalyptic film. I liked the idea it has, and I thought it was entertaining
Based on the book of the same name. This is a great movie about a movie. If you're aware of the cult following of the movie, "The Room", than you will probably like this movie. Also, it gives the audience a better understanding of making the movie behind the scenes.
This is pretty good for a Conan knock-off movie. The movie goes straight to the action and doesn't overstay it's welcome. This is definitely worth a watch
