Z pozoru tragiczny wypadek okazuje się być częścią większej, mrocznej sieci tajemnic, z którymi Turner, wspierany przez młodą strażniczkę Naya Vasquez (Lily Santiago), musi się zmierzyć. W tle śledztwa przewija się również skomplikowana, bolesna przeszłość głównego bohatera.

⭐⭐½ – Untamed – Wilderness, Whispers & What-Ifs
There’s something instantly arresting about a murder investigation in the great outdoors — the quiet is louder, the consequences more immediate, and the terrain itself becomes a character. That’s exactly the terrain of Untamed, where Eric Bana’s Kyle Turner, an ISB agent for the National Park Service, gets called into the majestic wilds of Yosemite National Park to investigate a death that appears accidental — but isn’t.

From that setup, the show carries you through forest paths, hidden squatter camps, and old-haunted memories. There are moments when the beauty of the setting takes your breath — wide skies, rugged cliffs, the kind of natural grandeur that reminds you how small we are. But as the story unfolds, the really interesting stuff lies in the cracks: a son lost six years ago, a body with a tattoo, a park ranger whose loyalty is questionable… it all adds layers of regret, silence, and secrets.

Yet, for all its promise, Untamed doesn’t quite reach the heights it hints at. It tries hard to balance wilderness noir with character-drama and crime thriller, but often leans on familiar beats and clichés: the haunted male hero, the rookie sidekick with big city skills, the sprawling conspiracy hidden under tourist paths. Some twists are earned, but others feel as if you saw them coming just a few steps earlier. The pace drags in places, and by the time the finale rolls around, you’re more impressed by the view than surprised by the reveal.
If you watched Untamed, you might remember liking it — and that’s accurate. It’s a solid watch with strengths: performances grounded in regret, scenery that actually matters, and enough intrigue to keep you invested. But at the same time, you could skip it and your day wouldn’t look much different. In other words: good, but not great; memorable, but not essential.
