Cue slow motion action, iconic sound effects and weekly missions where he punches injustice in the face, all while grappling with what it means to be more machine than man. Lee Majors plays it straight, stoic and sympathetic, the kind of hero who could lift a car and still look emotionally wrecked about it. The show blends Cold War paranoia, sci-fi optimism and good old fashioned TV drama. And yes, the theme song and opening narration? Burned into memory. Watching it again feels like revisiting the blueprint for every tech enhanced hero that followed. It’s earnest, a little cheesy, but packed with heart and nostalgia.
