It was cozy, clever and strangely addictive. No gore, no grit, just polite interrogations, suspicious glances and Jessica outsmarting everyone with charm and logic. As a teen, it felt grown-up but safe. The guest stars were endless, the plots were formulaic but satisfying and the theme music was pure comfort. It was like a warm cup of tea with a body in the pantry.
