Just released from prison and shunned by his mother, Wu Qi Shan (Ping Hui Tay) struggles to make a living as a fruit stallholder. He tries to make amends for his mistake, which caused his father's death and landed him in prison. But the relationship with his mother remains frigid. Meanwhile, a series of events draw Xin Si Si (Joanne Peh), the daughter from a wealthy family, and Qi Shan closer. Handsome Li An (Yaodong Zhang), Qi Shan's good buddy, is over confident and constantly woos rich and influential women with the intention of acquiring their support for his business ideas. He meets Si Si's good friend, Mei Hao (Kate Pang). The two share great chemistry but Mei Hao is disgusted when she realises that Li An was really just a playboy. Qi Shan and Si Si's relationship are put to the test when the former's ex fiancée and daughter and the latter's old flame re-enter their lives. To worsen things, Si Si's father frowns upon her relationship with Qi Shan. There is friction between the two lovebirds. Will they be able to overcome these obstacles together?
