Positives: - The movie is well made, well directed, well shot, well edited, and well paced - The score is decent and really sets the Egyptian mood - I love the Egyptian setting - The characters are a lot of fun - The performances are excellent - The action sequences are awesome - For a PG-13 movie there are some brutal and disgusting sequences that grossed me out - The film is also hilarious Negatives: - The CGI does not hold up as well as I expected, especially for The Mummy himself - The film is pretty ridiculous as well Overall I had a blast watching this movie and I can’t wait to watch it again.

Brendan Fraser is a ton of fun as Rick, and the film balances nonstop action, clever humor, and epic adventure without ever slowing down. The mummy and ancient curses add stakes, but it’s really the thrills and swashbuckling moments that make it so enjoyable. It’s just a pure, well-crafted action-adventure that never gets old.
