Almost the exact same script as the first one; Miranda is still awful, Andy still can't manage relationships, Nigel is still being treated badly. Only Emily moved on (somewhat). Lucy Liu would have been a nice addition, but they really didn't do much with her. A nice way to pass the time, but otherwise meh.

Way deeper than I expected 👠🔥 This movie isn’t just about fashion anymore… it’s about power, ego, influence, and how people almost worship status in modern society. Miranda still controls every room she walks into, but now the movie mixes fashion with media, technology, ambition, and even religious/artistic symbolism. Stylish, smart, and surprisingly philosophical at times. 👠 Powerful performances 🧠 Deeper message underneath the glamour 🔥 Miranda still runs the world ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Great sequel. I don't discriminate against any one genre, as a man. A good movie, story, acting, cinematography and soundtrack is what matters. This was very good in my book. Anne Hathaway is perfect for that quirky, annoying, somehow finds herself doing the wrong thing type. As for Meryl Streep?! It would be an injustice for her not to ever win an Oscar. She is phenomenal. I also love Stanley Tucci.

Hmmm ok ok ok, was it really needed? I mean no but it definitely could’ve been worse. Do I think Anne Hathaways acting got worse somehow in this? yes. It’s giving like Disney fairytale vibes???? a little bit predictable, nothing that wowed apart from the surprise artist at the end which was cool. Same quippy jokes, regurgitated, not horrible but not exactly extremely refreshing. Very much being relatable to the whole AI crap. Do I really understand the plot line? No. Would it have worth been understanding? Also probably, no. Fine, but really just leave a classic alone. There’s no way it could’ve been done better so it just feels like, what, another chance to get a new generation in on it. Make it relatable to AI and make some more money because it’s obvious - Quite literally everyone will see this even if it is bad/mediocre. Shame really. They’ve also given opening for a third now. Let’s hope not. I think it distracts from a masterpiece. I miss a meaner, more forceful Miranda, a pry into her life. Not all of them ‘saving the day’ just like any other super hero movie.

The Devil Wears Prada 2 - A Sequel That Forgot the Point The sequel stumbles hard. The Devil Wears Prada 2 is a dull, uninspired follow‑up that mistakes snark for substance and cruelty for comedy. The script feels boring, plain, and shockingly uninterested in saying anything new about fashion, power, or ambition. Instead, it spends most of its runtime punching down, mocking anyone who isn’t obscenely wealthy, as if being “normal” is some kind of personal failure. In 2026, that tone is not just outdated; it’s tone‑deaf. The original film had bite, wit, and a sense of fun. This sequel has none of that. It’s mean‑spirited without being clever, shallow without being stylish, and ultimately feels like a brand cash‑grab that forgot why people loved the first movie in the first place.

I'll preface this review by being honest and saying I have not watched the first movie nor was I the target audience for this movie. Given that, I was pleasantly surprised by how watchable the movie is. A large part of that is due to the characters. The cast perfectly embodies them, and they play off each other really well, with Anne Hathaway and Meryl Streep having an excellent dynamic. That is probably what made the first movie so popular, and I think it is clearly still on display here. The problem is that this movie's plot feels pretty paper thin at times. It's because so much happens so quickly without letting any of the plot really breathe. It feels both predictable and also without any weight. At one point, the movie devolves into just a music video, and a large part of the movie is shots of characters walking around to showcase various brands. I'm not entirely sure if the first movie had a more cohesive plot that tied the character development into the story, but this one does not in my opinion. I think the movie should have streamlined the conflicts and story beats so that it could showcase Andy's character development better. Overall, I have no idea how to compare this movie to the first one, but it does feel somewhat unnecessary and forced. I think the best parts of this movie, the character relationships, are probably visible in the first movie with a more sincere plot with weight.

Not bad for ending this story. Twenty years later, fashion has collapsed after the most fashionable decade of the 2000s. Many people didn't like this version. But I think it's quite logical. Not everything in this world is eternal.
