,,In national news, President Bono called yesterday's mortar attack on the White House 'Sad, really really sad—and kind of freaky'." This film has terrible pacing. If you want to subject yourself to it (for it can be really funny for all the wrong reasons), I suggest skipping thru all of the 'evil punk gang psycho' scenes. The lead actress shows up at about 20 minutes, gets killed, and her first suit-up and action scene is @ ~45 minutes. In-between is an attempt at adding dramatic tension and character depth. The dialogue and acting is truly D-tier. That, along with the actually pretty entertaining and ridiculously cheesy action scenes make for many good laughs, but it's still pretty exhausting for just how bad it all is. The female and male leads are perfect examples of "women writing women characters" in the worst possible sense. Nano-machine Karen acts like a seven-year-old and just makes a mess of things all on her own, only to literally come crawling back to the lab with nothing but vengeance on her mind. The super-fully-extra automatic not-Robo-cop not-revolver pistol thing, I swear-- the thing fires like 700 rounds per minute with zero recoil, and there's a massive seam where the prop was vertically joined. Her costume and the vocoder effect of her mask are actually pretty cool in a kitschy sort of way. Her motorcycle computer has a nice voice, too; and the Dutch-angle riding shots with the cityscape in the background are legitimately great cyberpunk shots.
