    Cinematography at its very best. It is a dark and difficult watch but gives probably the closest experience to how life affecting war can be

    Complicated, messy and tragic. A tough watch but a lot of hard stories come out of war that we shouldn't turn away from.

    It all starts at wedding party, but Vietnam is in their future and all the love in the world will not save them. Beautiful, horrible, heroic, sinful, love and desperation,but mostly friendship. One of the best films about a war that could not be explained, superb acting, devastating scenes, a captivating story.

    This is an exceptionally crafted film. I have an issue with the pace, and almost an hour of story building that leads to the main arc. However, it's more about what war does to people than what happened in war, so I'll give a hall pass here.
