A top-tier car salesman who gets aggressively demoted by fate into a stay-at-home dad after his wife (Mandy Moore) crushes it on Shark Tank. The Verdict: Heartfelt Fun or Total Household Chaos? While the critics might be treating this movie like a clogged toilet, they are missing the point. The Breadwinner is pure, unadulterated heartfelt fun for anyone who enjoys watching a bumbling dad try to run a house like a used car dealership. Nate's Performance: Bargatze absolutely carries the film with his signature, deadpan "I have no idea how I got here" energy. He delivers lines about laundry separation with the same calm exhaustion that made him a comedy superstar. He doesn't even have to yell; his posture screams “Please tell me we can just throw these clothes away and buy new ones”. Final Thoughts: Is it a cinematic masterpiece? Absolutely not. Is it a genuinely clean, hilarious, and sweet family comedy that lets Nate Bargatze do exactly what he does best? 100%.

He obviously has comedic chops so I’m excited for his future but this is a pretty basic family comedy with not a lot of substance. Incredible cast. Loved seeing Martin Herlihy getting even more screen time and Will Forte was of course hilarious Needed more Kate Berlant for sure! Felt like she was wasted as a cast member The big Wal-Mart tie-in was pretty embarrassing. The Sour Patch Kids, KFC, and NFL tie-ins were slightly less egregious. Very silly! The emotional themes get a little tangled amidst a convoluted and emotionally contradicting climax, but at least it was quite humorous! My mom cried and “liked it A LOT.” Watched at Warren Regal East with my mommy Currently Ranked #50/83 in 2026 Ranked
