Padre Pio's monastery in southern Italy, at San Giovanni Rotondo, where the monk prayed and preached to thousands during his lifetime, is today a sanctuary for millions of pilgrims each year from every part of the world. The celebrated moments of Padre Pio's life until his death in 1968, from his first stigmata as a young man to his good works, healing and preaching, carry above all his message of peace, sacrifice and love.
